After the successful SE/30 re-cap I decided to do a Classic II board.
A Classic II board was the first board I ever did. I think ever other pad got lifted off. I was so pissed I think I threw it away. I had no trouble doing the LC II board, although when I fired it up the other day one of the joints was cold.
This board has had TWO PADS LIFT.
The first pad was easy. I found out where it emerged on the other side of the board. I put a little wire in and brought it to the other side and soldered it to one side of the capacitor, and the other side to the board. There's continuity and everything and it's excellent.
The second pad is on the 47uf cap next to the ADB port.
The good pad, traces off somewhere. The bad pad, goes through to the other side and then inexplicably terminates. There's a little hole there but no trace comes of it.
Would there be a middle layer it could go to? Would there still be a little hole in that case? If there is a middle layer, how can I find a point that I can attach a wire. Touch every single point until it beeps?
