I have a PowerBook 100 screen which is broken in the left corner. A part of the screen stays black. I was wondering if it is something which is reparable? I have tested it on more motherboards and the result stays the same. See pictures below.
It's a busted edge connection in the actual monitor, no? The wire that serves that group of pixel is broken. It can probably be repaired, but it is incredibly fine work.
Unfortunately, as far as tear down, I can't provide any guidance on that. My blackbird is of a very different construction than your Derringer (the codename for the PB 100).
The only thing I can suggest is to be very careful of the plastics, they tend to be very brittle with time.
