Best SD/CF/MS card reader for OS 8.6 & 9? Also SDHC?

I've got a couple USB card readers that sort of work on OS 8.6 & 9 - but there are issues.

1 of them is a no name brand and it's huge limiting factor is it won't read SD/MMC cards bigger than 64mb!

The other one I have is Lexar Media Multi Card Reader (USB 2 - but works on USB 1) that is flaky at best. I've got a couple of that one actually.

It works fine in X but OS 9 it rarely does. There are seperate drivers - for 8.6 and 9.04 - and I'm wondering if it's because I'm using 9.22 or something like that.

What is aggravating is the fact that the little thumb sized readers (that have a USB port on one end and space for the card on the other) are almost bullet proof using the same cards - I guess they fool the OS into thinking it's a thumb drive and don't need drivers?

So - can anyone recommend a better card reader - or some Extension voodoo that I should do?

Also - has anyone tested SDHC (Secure digital high capacity - the bigger 4 gig/8 gig/16 gig SD cards) on any sort of setup with 8.6 or 9?

edit (update):

SDHC (Intenso 4 GB): GO in a PowerBook 1400/9.2.2, Delock SDHC-capable PC-card adaptor (bootable). Does also work for a P475 with SCSI-attached PC card reader. Does work in a PBG4/OSX. Be aware of the fact, that 68k-machines might not boot from volumes larger than 2 GB.

SDHC (Intenso 4 GB): NO GO for SanDisk PC-card adaptor: Model No. SDAD-67 Part No. 20-90-00130. Does not work in a PBG4/OSX either. The adaptor works well for standard SD cards with capacities up to 2 GB.
