Bad screen…

Hello everyone! hope everyone is well. I have an issue with an old Powerbook Duo 250. It has an active matrix screen, I believe it was the first to have one. I have an issue where after the screen stays on for a while it starts to fade to Black. I fear of course that there is no solution to this problem, but has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks.

... might also be failing CCFL backlighting - in a dark room is the display still illuminated when black? If not, can you see an image shining a torch at the display

I have a 170 that somehow doesn't have tunnel vision yet. I'm beginning to think leaving it in the same room as my orchids that need 45% ambient humidity or better is pushing my luck...
