Hi

I tried to resurrect my old Quadra 950. 

I only have a 12 inch monitor from an old LC to use with it. I think it should work with the video out?

However, it does not seem to start up - the psu fan and starts.

I have not a battery installed.

I have not a HD in it at the moment, but I do have an CD rom with a system 8.1 on it.

The monitor does not switch on when I start the AWS.

Is there any rom jumpers or anything I need to do hardware wise, or it is just bust?

Anyone?

Is the monitor switch on? Is it connected to the computer or an outlet.

No hard drive? What else is missing?

The SCSI bus needs to be terminated. A stock 950 has a terminator on the end of the SCSI ribbon, something not usually seen in other machines. Is it present? (I have not found that terminator to be needed, by the way, so long as a newer drive supplies the termination needed -- but in your case, no drive is present!)

Since there are most likely no bad caps, I'd say SCSI is the most probable cause.
