Apple IIGS Monitor Caps Question

Hi all,

Im gonna get my IIGS monitor recapped along with everything else. The rest is probably something I will be able to handle, however the monitor has LOTS of caps, and so I might just have a fellow member (You know who you are! lol) do it for me.

I see a very well priced kit for all 20+ caps for $15. https://console5.com/store/applecolor-rgb-monitor-a2m6014-cap-kit.html

Now Ive also read that there are "bad" caps. So does anyone have experience with them? Is it possible to get these for cheaper or around the same price for higher quality?

Ordered the kit along with that new universal psu by reactive micro. I will need help maybe with identifying logic board caps later this week

Typically when I order lytics I buy through either local suppliers or Digikey where their supply chains are reputable. I would never order lytics over sites such as alibaba or ebay as there's still a fair amount of counterfeits of known good brands floating around and once you get them in the mail you're not gonna want to mail them back.

Oh well, too late. That's OK, they seem like a more reputable company but you never know... For the logic board I'm ordering caps from mouser.

Did you get the kit?  What are the caps like?  Are they name brand, 105°, or are there any other observations that you can pass along.

They are all name brand at 105c! And they are real too as they are the exact same without any differences as saw in the other thread on how to spot a fake.

There's I think 3 brands I got. Panasonic, the brand that starts with an h, and one other. All good ones though, no knockoff brands.

Have not tried them yet however, no doubt they will work great.
