When you're on the road, why not make a few Mac-related deals?
I sold an Apple Adjustable Keyboard to a fellow MLAer today. (Here's hoping he does a conquest thread for it!)
I also bought an LC lot for $40. I got the following:
--One Mac LC, which is said to be non-working. I won't be able to look at it until next week, but I'm hoping it's just a power supply and not a battery leak. (Even if it is, I'd pick up a floppy drive and hopefully a working hard drive from it, maybe RAM if the leak isn't too bad).
--One 12" RGB monitor. Anyone who follows me knows I'm always after these. It does power on from what I know. Even if it has an issue, this is one likely to get recapped next year. (If the LC I got today turns out to be a dud, I do have an LCII without a good monitor right now).
--One StyleWriter II in the original box. Not sure if it works, but I'm hoping it does since I'd like a second network printer for the Macs I use with the kids.
--Two keyboards. One is an Apple Keyboard II. The other is a third party extended keyboard. I believe there's a mouse in there as well.
--Various cables that I haven't had time to look at.
--Unsure if there are any disks lurking at the bottom of the printer box
Considering the cost of shipping these things, this was a good lot even if it winds up being just a monitor and parts.
Yes, I am theoretically downsizing, but I had been after another LC for the sake of getting another color-capable Mac for the kids.
