Amiga 500 comes home to roost

One of my prized computers when I was a kid (10-12 years ago) was a pair of Amigas - a 1000 (got in a trade for a TRS-80, IIRC) and a 500 (found abandoned in my grade-school's storeroom). While I didn't have much software for the systems, I played "California Games" to death, and loved every minute of it. I've been dreaming of getting back into the Amiga scene ever since I left those systems with my Dad.

So, with the backstory out of the way, I just bought an A500 kit on eBay last week. Here's the link, so you can see what I snagged:

It just arrived yesterday, so I'm only starting to get it set up. I'm unfortunately stuck with a Commodore 128 monitor (a 1902A) which doesn't accept the type of color output that the A500 puts out, so I'm limited to black-and-white for the moment, or at least until I find a nice 1084 screen to use. Any offers? :-) I'm also looking for a replacement keyboard, and a disk cleaning kit, as the drive seems a bit flakey.

That's it for now!

Just plug it into your tv via the coaxial cable, thats what I did. I miss my 500, many happy hours of Rainbow Islands, New Zealand Story, Lemmings etc.

That's a nice collection of games, but I do hope that you won't have to write about your bizarre adventures with zebras after zipping to the zoo. :)

For some reason, I've been feeling the urge to pull out an Amiga for the last couple of weeks.
