AIX development

There doesn't seem to be an inttypes.h on my ANS (AIX 4.1.5). I thought I did a full install of everything. Can anyone confirm that older AIX did not have this file?

 
Well it turns out that inttypes.h (and stdint.h as well) was introduced in C99, and 4.1.5 predates that. So it makes sense. Now I just have to decide what to do about that...

 
Have you managed to get a compiler going? I'm sorry I wasn't able to, and at the moment I don't have enough time.

No worries. I'd given up on looking for a compiler, and was doing an unrelated search when I came across a reference to a (now defunct) site that used to have pre-built software for AIX. I used that name as a search term and found an active mirror. So now I have gcc 2.95.2, which is good enough to get started with. Thanks for all your help!
