A/UX on Aztec Monster Compact Flash card

Has anyone been able to install A/UX on a Compact Flash card using the SCSI/CF adapter (Aztec Monster)?

I've tried the FWB HDT PE driver and the HD driver from Drive Setup in 9.2.2, both of which hang my Quadra 700 during the A/UX install boot.

On the same machine, I successfully installed A/UX 3.0.1 on a Quantum Fireball 500MB drive.

Have you tried the A/UX Disk Tools boot floppy and its format utility? IIRC it will allow formatting of non-Apple branded drives. I believe there's a copy on the '99 Legacy Recovery CD.

I haven't tried that one from that source specifically, but if it is the patched HD SC 7.3.5 utility, then I have tried it. I'll check that one out.
