A book and a PowerBook

...namely, Malone's Infinite Loop (reputedly not the best of books on Apple, I know, but for $1.79 at the GoodWill, a hard bargain to pass up); and a PowerBook 5300c, 40MB ram and excellent plastics (again, not the best of 'books, I know, but for free and I may be able to put it to service in some worthy cause if I can get a working battery).

I also managed to find a rear panel for my LC575, which (as reported some weeks ago) originally came to me with a 6" metal MicroMac extension box bolted on at the back and a 5400/120 logic board with soldered adapter board installed inside; it has now been restored to 68k goodness, rear panel and all. I like my machines stock, or round about it.

The latter two finds were courtesy of a local friend (tugs forelock — or what is left of it in late 40s — appropriately) for whom a similar turn was done a while ago.
