Machine arrived today. Looks nice. Has a few more scratches than I was expecting but that's OK. It's also missing the primary hard drive sled. I knew it wasn't going to have a hard drive but missing the sled too is annoying. There's two more I can harvest if need be as well as the ones in my B&W but I'll see what I can rummage up first.
The really weird thing about it is that it won't boot up with the 128MB DIMM that came in it. It'll just give the single "No RAM" beep. Nor will it boot with the 512MB DIMM I have (though this is really funky). It *will* however boot from RAM pulled from the G3 not to mention the G3 will boot with the 128MB DIMM from the DA (it's in the machine as I'm typing this). Any ideas?
edit: I think I've discovered why it won't boot with the 128MB DIMM: It's marked PC100. Still, that doesn't explain why the 512MB DIMM doesn't work. Maybe it's just too funky (only board I've ever seen utilise it full is the VIA board I originally bought it for)...
i meant $80 and not $70, i wasn't paying attention, cause i was tired and was about to go to sleep when i posted that
yea he paid $50 for the system and $30 to have it shipped, orignaly the guy wanted a insane amount to have it shipped just a few states away ( the shipping was around $90+ ) it went on for a few weeks cause of the price of shipping ( its one of those ebay listings with a over priced shipping price, to pull a fast one over ebay's eye's) the guy finally refunded $60 of the shipping back.
i dont think ebay cares much for the people that does that.
