450mhz Wallstreet

MacG4

6502
Was looking around ebay the other day and call apon a powerbook g3 wallstreet that was for sale. The seller said that the processer showed up a 450mhz g3 processer in the system profiler but didnt know anything about the units or macs for that matter. on the bottom of the case it was listed as a 300mhz/64/8. so im guessing it had one of the rare wallstreet processer upgrades that you hardly ever see. it could also have more ram and a bigger hd as well. i will report back when i get it

Yeah, have you got it already? What's the story of the 450mhz?
just paid for it yesterday so no i have not got it yet. im glad someone else here is as interested as i am about the 450mhz processer in it. i will be mad if its turns out that the seller read it wrong. but we will have to see i guess

Actually, with this PDQ I am posting on now it says 450Mhz in OS 9's System profiler (I have pictures if you want) but all other CPU speed reporting apps in OS 9 and OS X get it right, 300Mhz(as the die is marked).

I highly suggest running Gauge Pro on it to see the real speed.

I can post it somewhere if you can't find it online.

*Edit

You just can't have too many copies of useful old apps floating around online.
