270c and Dock II

I'm considering a DuoDock purchase from eBay, but I have a few questions.

First off: Did the all DuoDock IIs come with the 32kb cpu cache and FPU, or was it optional like the Dock I ?

Secondly: If you were to use a 270c in a Dock II or in a Dock I with FPU would it then be able to use both FPUs ?

Thirdly: Are there any difference between a II and a Plus other than the plus not having FPU and cache ?

Thanks in advance,

Ted

On point 2: No, but it's smart enough to prevent the two FPUs from fighting. I think the one in the 270c gets priority.

Interestingly, I was reading an article somewhere the other day which stated that the 68030 could support multiple co-processors; up to eight or ten, I think.

Apple never supported more than one math coprocessor, but it was an interesting (to me at least) bit of processor trivia.

1. All Duo Dock IIs had a the FPU and cache, only the HD was optional.

2. It would only use 1 FPU...probably the 270c one.

3. The II has the FPU, Cache but an optional HD. The plus had the HD but an optional FPU and no cache.

Hope that helps (I want a 270c).
