I recently got two acrylic ADC 20“ cinema displays. One is discolored but more or less ok - albeit dim. The other one still works but shows the short-short-long error code (backlight issue).

It is a great hack but quite challenging. So I asked myself, whether the panel from the 20“ ALU units mights be a good match to exchange the aging 20“ ADC panels? 20“ ALU are dirt cheap and at least a bit younger and that route looks more promising than dissecting the whole panel assembly to exchange the aging backlights.
