2 SE/30s!

If I lived in New Mexico I'd consider these--although I do have an SE/30 on the way that should be here any day now so I'll be getting my 32-bit dirty compact Mac experience very soon!!!

BTW: Can anyone make out the serial numbers on these? I'm looking for as many SE/30s with 1991 manufacture dates as possible so I can have further proof in my theory as to when the SE/30 was really discontinued. (Current SE/30 owners can help me out here too).

I bought those two. The serial numbers are: F930DG4K02, F0063B9K02.

The two SE/30s in the attic have F9150VYK02 and F9023CFM5119 according to my records.

As has trag, I have an SE/30 with a serial number beginning with zero after the location letter: E048..., which is as near the end of the '80s as dammit. I have never, never ever seen a serial beginning X1nn..., but that doesn't exclude the possibility.

The only Compact AIO from the beginning of the 90s that I have is a Classic: CK112...

Both my SE/30's are 1990 machines with one having the serial CK00702MKH1 and the other CK0420YFKH1. Despite both being manufactured in Ireland and sold in Scotland, the warning (about high voltage inside) text on the back of the case is in German - I'm not sure whether this is normal for a UK SE/30...

Ah, two 1991 SE/30s. I've tried to contact a few of the specification sites about the SE/30 being made and sold in 1991 but neither has given me any response.

I have an Apple sales brochure as proof. If anyone has an old Mac Warehouse or similar ad and also wants to verify that SE/30s were indeed sold then let me know...I'm hoping to make the SE date debate (including the SE I have made in 1991) part of my upcoming website.

Interesting that in a random(?) sample of two, both of stevep's SE/30s date from the end of January 1991. But then, EveryMac does cite October 1991 as the terminus for SE/30s.

Yes, October 21, 1991 should be the correct date.

Many have it mismarked as October 15, 1990. This is the date the Plus and regular SE were supposedly discontinued...although I've seen a handful of SE SuperDrives made past that date. In fact, I have one made in 1991.

Not so random - they both came from the same school, likely there were several more there at one time that were closely numbered. :)
