1400cs!

I just added another 1400 to my collection. For 10$ I got a 1400cs/166 with 64MB ram, a VST Zip Module, a floppy module, battery is unknown, and the clear plastic customizable book thingy for the lid. It also came with a Falleron ethernet and a Global Village Platinum pro card. Not bad for 10$.

The only problem is the screen is quite Dim. I'm just thinking it has not been used in many years as it is in very good shape for its age. The guy may still have the box but he will get back to me on that.

Sweet score. Sounds like the backlight is going though. If it doesn't warm up, maybe consider a LED mod

Oddly some of it started to come brighter. The top right did and it kinda spread around but not fully. I suspect it was sitting in a basement or garage for too long.

It does boot though. I plan to use it to test some beta OS's just for fun.

Anyone know where I can find VST zip 100 drivers for a Powerbook 1400 module?

Wow thats a great find. Having that much RAM makes all the difference. Its almost impossible to find the upgrades for those things now unless you're willing to pay a fortune.
