10.3 and 10.4 Retail Boxed! (CD version)

I got 10.3 and 10.4 (CD version :D ) boxed!!!

My friend which is a mac-head upgraded to a Intel Mac after his G4 1.42Ghz PowerMac died. I got his software and he parted out the RAM and the other stuff. Sadly, by the time I found this out, he had already parted out the machine. But he had gotten the CD Version of 10.4!! right from Apple when he ordered it!!!

It's nice, but too bad it's the CD Version (although I *should* consider myself lucky on this) because it takes FOREVER to load :(

Oh well, it's free, so I guess it's great!!!

Anyways, the 10.3 and 10.4 are Retail Boxes but are in a bit of a beat-up shape. He stacked a bunch of stuff on top of them (his guitar and other stuff) and he kinda neglected them. Also, the CDs have a few scratches but nothing a SkipDr. wouldn't take out ;)

Anyways, Great score, huh?

Anyways...

Just installed 10.3 on the eMac. Gonna install 10.4 on the second partition ;)

Might try 10.5 on an external :p I don't want to invest the time and have to re-setup the drives again to get 10.5 on it. Plus I only got an 80GB Harddrive in this sucker and 2 partitions with my data is already pushing it :-/

Leopard told me all my volumes but the startup drive Leopard is on was corrupted and and cannot be repaired, it would not let me write to either of the drives, I spent 2 days copying around 120GB(each) off of the drives, reformatting and then copying that stuff back onto the drives(one at a time because my iMac G5's drive is not THAT big ;) )

after the hellish installation 4.11 runs well enough on my imac G5

( hellish booted to a dark screen with bong waited for 5 minutes nothing rebooted stil nothing turne dit off pulled out the hd tried to boot refused to boot more swearing plunked in the old hd booted held the left button so it would finally spit out the sims 2 cd because apple in their infinite bloody wisdom removed the paperclip eject hole opend the imac up again put in the current hd put in the mac os x tiger cd resigne dmyself to reinstalling it and it booted normally what the hell i say what the hell ? )

i havent dared turn it off yet
