Thanks John. I'm getting about 56K/second when using a web browser. Tried an ftp connection with Fetch 2.1.2 and the speed is a bit better at around 80K/second.
My Quadra 605 is connected to a LAN through an Apple Ethernet LC Twisted-Pair Card. I'm running OS 7.6.1 with TCP/IP under OpenTransport 1.1.1 using DHCP server.
My connection speeds tops out at around 56k/sec. Shouldn't I be seeing much faster speeds?

This module does fit properly and works perfectly inside a LC 475 (see the rest of my previous post here). I can't speak to the possible clearance issues in the Color Classic, however.
Sounds like a SCSI termination or conflicting SCSI ID issue to me.
Try resetting all of the jumpers to their default positions.
Assuming your drive is some Apple variation of the Seagate Hawk 2XL Disc Drive you can download the product manual (with pictures of where to place the jumpers) here...
