I'm trying to insert a PC Card into a powerbook 5300. ( it's the thin kind of card) when I push it in it's hard to push and it doesn't go all the way. then it pops out (like a spring, not like it is being ejected) after 15ish seconds. What could I be doing wrong? No, it's not upside down

The downgrade thing isn't a bug. It's just a required minimum version for the in place upgrade. Like you can't upgrade from XP to 10, you need 7 first.

I'm not trying to be like that. I should be clearer. From the replies it seems like I'm not going to be able to get their enabler because it cost money. When I realized that, I started to research the format of system enablers myself. I know I could have phrased some of these replies better, sorry.

I do not need that, I was just looking for information on the structure of system enablers. I have enough now to create a PowerBook 5xx PPC Enabler.
