Okay! I just spied what appeared to be a DIN to D-sub cable in the picture you took of all the random bits you got with the SE/30, and thought that might be what it was for (since the floppy port on compact Macs outputs both 5V and 12V).
I recently picked up a Macintosh Plus, which came with a portable SCSI hard drive that uses a DIN-5 socket for power (like your DynaFile) that connects to the 19-pin D-sub connector on the back of the Mac. Maybe the DynaFile used a similar cable?
