    Mac OS 8.6 for (some) Unsupported G3s and G4s

    I was about to post that my 600MHZ Late 01 iBook G3 attempts to run the installer but it stalls out on the checkerboard boot screen before you get the OS 8.6 splash screen on for the installer. What process did you go through to get your G3 iBook going?
