@finkmac
Thanks again. Recapping is a hard work for me since I'm a newbie. I would like to troubleshoot from the easiest way first.
More additional information, on color classic with floppy drive installed, it showed question mark picture when turn on. I then inserted a 100% working system...
Thanks @finkmac for your help.
1. Yes, I tried 1.4K boot floppy disk with another color classic and it works.
2. I did not. When I took floppy drive out and try with LCIII, I use LCIII's cable. I took out just only floppy drive not cable.
3. I did not.
Thanks.
Hi there,
I found the strange issue on color classic. After cleaning and changing a gear in an original 1.4K floppy drive came with color classic, assembled it back and restarted, everything seemed to be alright. I turned it on, screen showed question mark floppy, I put boot disk (100% work...
All Guru,
G4 Cube adapter has 28V 7.5A => 210W. If I use adapter that has V<28 and A<7.5, regardless of its power will drive my Cube or not, it will not harm my G4 Cube theoretically, Am I right?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your reply. How did you splice red wire (one wire inside) to positive A and B of 4pins?
Did you combine 2 positive wires (A and B on 4-Pin side) into one then splice to red wire on PD 3.1 Trigger side?
Thanks in advance.
Byrd,
Thank you very much for your kind.
I'm confusing since you said that my adapter (28V, 3A) would not enough to power the Cube. I won't use ADC monitor.
On the first page, Stormy had confirmed that 80Watt TDK PSU which has 28VDC, 2.86A, 80Watt, similar to mine, worked. Please explain more...
All Guru,
I just have a question. I found a modern one, 24V 3A. I tested with multimeter found out that the polarity of all prongs are in the opposite with apple power mac g4 cube adapter as shown in figure. I put it in cube and it fit perfectly (without electrical).
My questions are as follows...
