Thinking of buying a G4 15", would like opinions

I was using G4 TiBook 1Ghz/1GB for a week, while waiting for some parts for my MBP and was quite satisfied with the performance. I was thinking about upgrading to SSD for those stock hard drives are slooow. If you are not a flash-heavy user, then it should be alright.  :)

Want to get a Mac II. IIci? 700? Something else?

I agree in a way. Then again, shipping EU to US is dirt cheap and twice as fast when compared to the USPS. :)

Certainly nothing in collectable condition. Maybe for certain internal parts.

    Advise on PowerMac 5200

Sounds like a field report.  You can call some help and bring the rest of this PM5200 home and turn it into a nice aquarium and use built-in speakers/CD-ROM drive to play one of those "ocean sounds" CDs (or make it terrarium with jungle sounds for that matter). Hope this helps. :)

    Quadra 700 HDD LED

The same thing was with the x86 PCs, 486 being the last generation with the red ones. On the Q700, if you look closely, you will notice a spot where the LED should be.

    Quadra 700 HDD LED

I'm leaning towards this option. :) I have checked my HDDs and found that they all have connectors, just in different places. For instance, Quantum drives have a separate one, while IBMs share them with the mode selection jumper pins. Thanks everyone!

    so i bought a couple Quadra 700's

@Hotdog Zanzibar Great post on JP. Now, since I have been looking for references on Quadra 700 LEDs, I also noticed that all those Quadra props might be switched off or missing the lamps. :)

    Quadra 700 HDD LED

Some say this particular LED came with later revisions, some have red ones since new, like this guy ... ... and yours is green, which is even more puzzling. I thought HDD LEDs always came in standard red/orange. :)

    Quadra 700 HDD LED

Hello guys, I need a little bit of help with finding a red HDD LED for some of my Quadras 700. It looks like it should be the same as the green power LED, but I am not really into hit and miss purchases. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
