does the motherboard look good? no leaks, burns, bulgy caps, etc? and what about the PRAM, did you zap that? i never had a G5 so idk their "temperaments" but i've had similar weird stuff happen to me before with other machines and that's usually where i start
have you tried replugging the power cord? sometimes my mdd doesn't turn back on after i shut it down unless i reseat the power cable. i think the power supply is weird but i don't have $200 to blow on an SFX psu right now to test

I wonder if you could find some old Pentium 4 junker on you guys' version of Craigslist... I look at local computer classified ads sometimes and you'd be surprised by how much stuff is on there for dirt cheap just bc they want to get rid of it

I never saw it in the menu bar under classic iirc, it was always in the control strip for me. OS X, yes, it's in the menu but that's the only time i ever saw it there.

No, I was just pointing out that it seems the guy with the -12v >.4A PSU doesn’t have problems with his video card, while the guy with less than .4A does. I know it doesn’t make sense but that’s what we’re seeing here. I will have to test and see if my Radeon 9k does indeed not work without 25v.
