Hey, my old Mac Plus is wierd. I replaced all capacitors and U3 with a 4N35 chip . CR1 and CR5 too. It starts with a floppy disk symbol and start sound. But when I insert a floppy disk it makes clicking noises on the analog board and immediately ejects the floppy disk, then the clicking stops...

Is there any driver or software i can install?

Can i replace ist with a Macintosh SE drive FDHD ? or will i Damage the logic board?

I cleaned it again, same result.

Its all clean, an the head ist moving on formatting disk.

Hey Guys, my Macintosh Classic ejects every floppy disk, on boot the finder logo appears briefly for a half second, then is ejects. The Mac is fully working. When I start it from the hard drive and insert a diskette it wants to initialize or eject it. When I initialize, the Mac says formatting...

I have now installed it on the external drive via USB, but the G4 no longer works and there is no start sound. I'll have to research further later. But thanks to all of you, when it starts again I'll let you know if it worked.

Hey Guys, I have a G4 Power Mac but the CD drive is i think broken, the hard-disk is empty. Is it possible to install Mac os 9 with my iBook g3 over usb adapter to the hard disk and then build it back in the g4 ? thx chris

Hey Guys, On my Macintosh Se FDHD, i have a 68 Pin Scsi HDD, with adapter. On the Harddisk are Jumpers , one is Spare 50 Pin called. should I put a jumper there?
