    BlueSCSI updates

It's a fuzzy memory but I think maybe 5-10 seconds of flashing floppy icon then I got a graphic indicating it was loading the CD but that didn't change for quite a long time. Maybe 3 minutes before seeing the desktop.

    BlueSCSI updates

I used this one with my MacSE using ZuluSCSI, which is compatible with BlueSCSI. I bet it would work with any 680x0 Mac such as yours. I renamed the long toast filename to CD3.toast and another time CD6.iso and it worked either way. My Mac found it without pressing any startup keys, likely...

Dead SE/30 Power Supply (no fan, no voltages at floppy connector)

If you have that Sony CR44 out of the Mac, make sure you give it a decent load to get reliable voltage readings. I was only pulling 0.1 amps from the +5 rail and it caused low outputs on two other rails. I gave that +5 a much bigger load and everything was OK. Here's my before/after...

    Modern PSU for the SE/30

For testing your voltage levels, make sure you have it under some decent load. I thought my test was OK with my Sony factory Mac SE power supply but I was getting some weird voltages. I had used a random load resistor on each output. Then I changed to a bigger load on +5 and voila, things...
