[Video] Apple II Storage: The ULTIMATE Timeline Deep-Dive (From Disk II to SuperDrive!)

I remember seeing the Jet Set Willy developer doing the same with some kind of Z80 based machine to dev on the ZX Spectrum. That rubber keyboard was certainly one to avoid. Do you know if there was some kind of commercial dev kit that facilitated this?

Help needed getting A2SCSI card visible on Apple IIgs

Well, that makes it an impossible fix for me. I have no schematic, no idea what chips do what. I have to hope that GGLabs returns from their hols soon to give some tech support on this $159 paperweight here. As it stands, it could mount only a SINGLE SCSI device. And I get a driver moan, which I...

Help needed getting A2SCSI card visible on Apple IIgs

Well, I'm not saying they HAVE made any changes to the ROM, just trying to work out why its behaving this oddly. Maybe another line of approach is to try another SCSI device. I ordered some more SCSI adapters today, so I can connect a ZuluSCSI to the card (DB25 female to internal 50pin...). It...

Apple IIe Card: An Apple IIe INSIDE my Macintosh LC475!

Thats pretty amazing, considering the differences in technology between when you started in the industry and now. My own was a Dragon 32, a LOT cheaper than an Apple II, but of course 5 years beyond the initial micro computer explosion. BEING in at that level must have been fun, getting a SCFI...

LC475 vertical lines in display issue

Thanks for doing this analysis :) . The VRAM has been re-seated, other VRAM chips also tested and the contacts cleaned over and over. No change. However, I have not removed the board to inspect it. . I have a re-cap kit, and plan to re-cap the board and the PSU and that seems to be a good point...

LC475 vertical lines in display issue

The LC has 16 colour mode and also monochrome, though I guess thats just a different palette. Same problem in each, though it manifests differently. I guess I need to make a note of each and do some analysis. It definately manifests in slightly different ways in each mode. I THINK in 16 colour...

LC475 vertical lines in display issue

Yeah, if you read the original post, you'll see I have already cleaned the sockets/simms, several times, as well as trying completely different simms, and also swapping the simms around. No change
