Thank you for the support post. It is a great tool and I use this all the time. It has been long time that I have used a full case to test. The switch and USB add on where contributions by @zigzagjoe as state in his post and improved the item significantly. I will add more to the store after I...
Thanks for the link, I looked over it but was not so much helpful with my condition. I feel 100% that it is not the scsi device I am adding to the board as both of them work on an identical board with no issues. Still more to try and if any other ideas you have post them.
I am working to repair a M5126 backlight Mac Portable. Recapped, repaired a few traces and I have the machine doing a good happy chime but when I connect an external (with power and correct INI file) or an internal bluescsi (portable version) it will still give me a good happy chime and then...
Suggest doing the same for the 3 small PLCC's also as they difficult to solder if no socket is used. Thanks for the update on the board as this is much appreciated.

I am asking if anyone might have info on the transformer that is on the Macintosh Portable Backlight inverter board. See the pictures. I am hunting for an inverter or just the transformer to repair mine. Thanks for your help
I have a backlit inverter that has a bad L200 inductor coil. Does anyone know if this is still available somewhere to buy the part or someone has one can sell me? Inspecting it, you can see where the coating on the wires has burned off and overheating. It is very small item.
Very nice. The 4mb roms are available already and the 8mb will be in a few weeks. Keep us posted on your work. Love to see what others are doing with these.
@Jockelill might have some in Sweden but I will be adding them as an add on option to rom purchases once I get some to @jajan547 as he ships out all our items.
Just made 15 of the 4mb rom SIMMs and will be adding them to the store in the next day or so. If anyone wants one before I add them, hit me up with a DM. I am in Florida a few more days so I can ship it out asap.
only a few of my previous order boards showed issues but I replaced the PAL and video RAM and went away but to be safe, I feel better to apply the fix to them all. I have had boards that, on my bench, worked perfect but when the owner got it back, it was giving problems with artifacts and had to...
