That line you drew on the schematic looks exactly like the one I drew on my printed copy here too lol
Ya, HF meters. And I tell you what - what a disaster. Obviously I didn't expect them to be super accurate; I just want to make sure current is flowing and a general idea of the voltage/current...
Hello,
Attached image is looking at the underside of the board (the solder side) with the input on the left and output on the right.
Measuring the output of the transformer is a bit tricky because it will be "pulsing".
And I would imagine that the frequency and hence voltage would be a bit...
HI,
Looks like you got things going. Thats great !
When I get some info, I can still post it just in case anyone else needs it. I have about 23 of these supplies I am working on right now. The first one I did is where I really learned about them in detail. It had really bad cap leakage (you...
Hi,
Sorry - I just saw this. Only today did the forum email me that there was a reply (shrug).
I will try to get this info to you as soon as I can.

Ok, so, maybe never mind; maybe I figured out my confusion. I was calculating everything from a dc static point of view and forgetting to take into account the dynamics of the startup time of the control chip. I think it all makes sense now.
thank you

Hi,
Excellent work with the schematic. I have been working on one of these. Would someone with a working supply be able to measure the vcc voltage to the M51996P so I know what it should be? On mine I am getting about 40v. But the spec sheet for that chip says max vcc is around 30v. But when I...
That is good to hear. I have a FloppyEmu that I am hoping I can configure to act as a second hard drive (I think I can). And I can boot off of a floppy system disk. Disk Copy 6.3.3, you say? Ok. I will try that. I was looking at Copy II Mac but didn't see an option.
Thank you
Hi,
Is it possible to bypass or break the PowerTalk Key Chain of a system 7 Macintosh Classic?
As a gift from my wife, I got a Macintosh Classic. We bought it from a woman whos father bought it new in Germany. He has since passed away, but there might still be some files on this computer in...
Hi,
Is it possible to "clone" the drive of a system 7 Macintosh Classic?
As a gift from my wife, I got a Macintosh Classic. We bought it from a woman whos father bought it new in Germany. He has since passed away, but there might still be some files on this computer in his original words (old...
