Thank you. I have been trying to get this to work on 7.5.5 but always had a sad mac. Do you know how I can get the DT resources loaded in an emulator from the github page? I can import them fine but the resources are not available when using resminer or resedit.
Also, is boot, 2246 required for...
Merry Christmas everyone! I don't have my mac to check, but do you believe that the issue might be with the CTS signal from the raspberry pi? I think it might be disabled by default on the Pi Zero W. I am reading that the tashtalk v1 requires it in order to function correctly. Perhaps some...
But two mini vmacs can communicate with each other just fine (and mount shares), even on different computers. So the implementation of ltoudp is mostly functional. Do other users of tashtalk, airtalk etc have similar experiences, or are they able to make a successful connection?
Could it be a...
@Tashtari, @NJRoadfan thank you for your replies. I bought a pickit 3 and managed to load version 1.01 successfully. Unfortunately it did not solve the problem that I had since day 1 of owning the tashtalk hat. Let me explain: I have a physical mac se 30 hooked up to a tashtari hat running...
Responding to my own post, I am coming to the conclusion that lvp is disabled on this pic chip. I have a ST-Line v2 and some bluepill boards. Could I maybe use those somehow?
Hi all,
do you know if tashtalk hat v1 supports low level programming? Trying to update firmware using the raspberry pi zero using the guide here:
https://www.pedalpc.com/blog/program-pic-raspberry-pi/#install
Do you know if this will work, or is pickit3 the only option?
Thanks
Hello all and happy new year! @tashtari thank you very much for your useful contributions to the community. I successfully connected Ethertalk (SE30)<->LtoUDP(vmac) running on a vm (macbook m2). However, I am having weird issues when running using the tashtalk hat on a raspi zero w Tashtalk...
root@rpi:/home/pi# ip link set wlan0 master br0
Error: Device does not allow enslaving to a bridge.
Nobody likes slavery however this configuration is valid even in windows...
Thanks for your message. It seems however that netatalk on its own does a perfectly good job (thanks @slipperygrey btw) and works great with physical machines over ethernet. Also, given some difficulties i've had with multitalk it would also seem to work great in the end (thanks again @sfiera)...
I sort of fixed the issue. In the code, I had to comment out the following lines (3 occurrences)
_, err = r.ReadByte()
if err != io.EOF {
return fmt.Errorf("read ddp: excess data")
}
I don't know why multitalk is broken only for me but seems to work with other forum...
In a previous post of yours I see that you have successfully used multitalk to bridge LToUDP devices such as the tashtalk bridge and mini vmac together with apple talk devices on ethernet. Could you please elaborate how you have achieved this? Does your raspberry pi have one or two interfaces...
Hi all,
I have got an SE/30 with a nic card to successfully connect to a netatalk 2.x share. I've also been successful in connecting the se/30 to a mini vmac share through a tashtari raspberry hat (using tashtalk daemon which converts appletalk packets to multicast UDP and vice versa).
Is...
Hello all,
I am quoting my own post from earlier this year. It seems that I had successfully managed to use the tashtalk hat back then. Last night I tried to connect again but I was unable to find my pi on the network and had to factory reset and start over (maybe my wifi settings changed). The...
Hi all,
has anyone used the device on a mac plus? If yes, how do you power it? Can we steal some power from e.g. floppy drive connector?
@cheesestraws do you believe it would be ok to solder a wire on the usb +5v terminal and feed it to the floppy drive connector? Would it be already grounded or...
Hi! can't comment about accelerators since I don't like them/haven't used any, but if you use the stock rom you can skip ram checking during boot by holding down the mouse button. At lest that works on the mac plus.
