    I wouldn't exactly call large rackmount servers low-power at all, especially a P4 Xeon server which you should be able to cook eggs on. :p Nice haul regardless... I wish cinema displays showed up around here, I'd wanted one for a while to match my G4 butf finding them locally is a pain.

    the additional card is an old video card which seems to be overriding the internal screen. if you don't have a monitor to use with it, i would just unplug the card

    I've had good results with a Canopus ADVC55 firewire capture device and an SVHS input, if you can find one. It should capture just fine with iMovie and a firewire cable

    Unsupported IDE CD Burners

    I was able to use one of these in a G4 Gigabit that I pulled from my stock of old PC burners. It burned discs without modification in OS 9 and in Tiger. DVDs also played fine in OS 9 and Tiger. I've heard other Sony models work, but I have only got multiples of this same model so I cannot confirm.
