As I wrote in the post. The motherboard is functional, taken out from my other functional CC (it is also after recap). From what I see, the original capacitors that were installed in the analog board are not LOW ESR type. You don't have to tell me to recap the analog board. My question was what...
I would like to find the cause of the problem. Replacing all the parts blindly at random is an inelegant form of repair... Of course, I will eventually replace the capacitors, but since I have checked each one and they look OK, I do not want to waste money on the entire set when it turns out...
Hi. I've been trying to get Colour Classic back on its feet for some time now... The symptom indicates a damaged switching power supply, but I'm wondering about other possibilities. To be sure, I put a 100% working logic board in it. When I hold the Power button on the keyboard, the computer...
The drive is not detected and does not perform a head test after it was inadvertently connected to the SCSI bus while it was turned on. I assumed that the ROM was responsible for the head test, so I thought it might have been damaged. I gave the ROM to a friend who tried to copy data from it...
Hi guys!
I have a 20MB Rodime drive taken from my SE30. The ROM in the disk is 100% damaged. Does anyone of you have such a disk and could copy the file from the ROM and send it to me so that I can burn a new one? I would be very grateful for your help! I really like this HDD :)
Unfortunately for this situation, I replaced all capacitors at the very beginning. I understand that I should receive a reset signal from this testopiont? Currently, there is probably some incomplete 5v voltage on
Can someone help me and tell me where in A2GS ROM3 the RESET sequence is generated? My computer died today. It shows no activity inside. The oscillators are standing, the integrated circuits are cool or very slightly warm. All voltages are OK... The reset line observed on the oscilloscope during...
Hi there! I bought an Powerbook 150 in very good condition, but unfortunately PRAM battery make a little mess on the logic board, destroying the L5 choke. Does anyone know what exactly this element is responsible for? It's close to the SCSI port, which I won't use here, so maybe it's enough to...
I discovered that the transistor was good and the problem was elsewhere. I didn't take into account that high-power bipolar transistors have a built-in resistor between the emitter and the base... this misled me. However, I found the cause of the failure. (The same in both monitors. Damaged...
I have a little update. A friend of mine, who has several such monitors, gave me one today, which he bought once, but it was damaged during transport (the plastics broke). Anyway, he never turned it on and gave it to me for parts to put the one I have back on its feet. I decided to run this part...
When I said that I checked the capacitors, I meant that I checked their capacitances with an RLC meter. I have a good knowledge of electronics and have experience in working with HI POT devices. I have repaired several CRT monitors in my life, but of the old type. Setting the geometry, turning...
Hi. I have a problem with my Studio Display 21". I already received it in this condition. At first glance, you can see that there is a problem with horizontal deflection. I have experience with analog circuits, but this monitor is a highly advanced digital one. I've already looked through the...
To me, this convergence is not surprising. The problem after a longer analysis is clearly not with the graphics, but with the RAM and the circuits working with it. This IC is a part of that circuit, that's why you can see the changes.
