Hi, Anyone got any information / documentation on this (Hitachi) thing? Running but could not get an image from LCI/LCIII. Before trying to open it i'd be thankful to know about its compatibility / sync at all. May it require a dedicated video card? thanks!

So it might be the ground shield was not properly soldered back? Seems i wasnt the first one opening it. As i can't test the IC (with my knowledge), would it make sense to replace it just in case? (I'd order some anyway for future use)  Still having a hard time comparing ICs - could you...

As the video boards seem rather different i've opened a thread:

Macintosh 12" Monochrome Display M1050  Picture faintly visible. Moved thread from here: Replaced caps and tested transistor PH2369 (fine on my cheapo tester). No other result. But i never gonna give you up. :) thanks!

thanks for this very precise and educating answer. the blowdryer method is new to me (love it) and i'll certainly try that. there are no indications of leaking caps or other obvious things. parts have arrived and i'll open the video board casing and see what's happening :) as the retrace...
