Yeah, that's why I only left it in vinegar for about an hour, and then gave it a good wash and scrubbing. Left it for the majority of today to dry, but that did no harm or good - the Mac is still death chiming with the same pattern. The seller also suggested swapping the RAM around, but even...
Recently I managed to track down a nice looking SE/30, all cleaned up, with the board recapped by the seller, and with a new 30GB SCSI drive. The seller showed some photos of machine up and running, so I didn't expect it would end like this.
Unfortunately, when it was delivered, instead of a...
I found yet another Mac Mini locally (although it's the 1,2GHz variant), and what a neat surprise - everything works like a charm, keyboard during the boot, booting from CD and such! At this point I wonder if that older Mini was already on the brink of death when it was still (somewhat) working...
Well rats, sorry for double post, but looks like this thing's totally dead. I borrowed a working 85W (18V/4A) Mac Mini power supply, and no reaction whatsoever... I had a 110W one, supposedly fully compatible, with an output of 18V and 6A - maybe that slowly cooked it to death?
Thanks! I've actually managed to get the OS9 up and running, by pluggin the drive to the other Mac I have, and running the Apple Restore Utility... I have no idea why I haven't thought of that before. :)
However I encountered a more severe problem - the Mini, completely out of the blue...
I recently picked up a G4 Mac Mini (1.42 GHz) model, with MorphOS installed on the hard drive. Since I wanted to try running the Mac Mini 9.2.2 v9 from macos9lives, I cleaned it up, removed the drive and formatted it on another Mac and finally burned the CD with the modified OS 9.
However...
Hmm, from what I see the ATIaccelerator II is for OSX only? I'm running MacOS 9.2.1 here, with a PCI Radeon 7000 (Beige desktop G3). Is there a similar tool, but for OS9? Tried looking for one, but found nothing...
I recently picked up a Radeon 7000 Windows version (64K ROM) and decided to swap my Rage 128 with it. I flashed it with the reduced gotoh ROM (the 'reduced using new method' one) and followed this tutorial to get it working - installed the Rom Xtender from the 9200 ROM update, finally installed...
Ugh, indeed, you were right, it was flashed with a Windows ROM... Immediately upon popping it up to my Windows 95 build it recognized the card.
Fortunately flashing did the trick, and the card works in my G3!
Now one last thing I'd like to ask about... What is the best set of extensions to...
Sure thing, thanks for the replies! Since I tried to take the best hi-res pictures with the equipment I have, here are the imgur links to the pics (2,5k x 1,5k res, so no direct post links).

Anybody willing to help me out? Recently I managed to get a PCI ATI Rage 128 GL (Macintosh version, as the seller informed me), and decided to fit it into my Beige G3 (System 8.6). I've never before replaced a graphic card in my old Macs, and for the love of God, I just can't get this thing to...
Got it from ebay. :) It's a 32x32 double banked SIMM. I've played around yesterday for a while with a variety of different software/games, and can confirm it works very well.
Alright, guys, a quick update regarding the matter.
I actually took the risk and bought a 128 MB stick from Keystron, it was delivered today. And guess what? The youtube guy was correct, while every other site (well, minus the LowEndMac, kind of) had the wrong info. My Performa 630 works...
Hope you didn't get into any trouble because of that!
And thanks for the replies, Trash80toHP_Mini and johnklos. What you're saying would suggest that LowEndMac was right, with it's RAM info. Not to mention there's also this video of Performa 630, clearly showing 132 MBs of RAM in the...
Greetings everyone,
I have a little question regarding the max amount of RAM in Performa 630 (rev B board), as I've read some conflicting information on the net, and like a Mac guru to clear my doubts. ;)
LowEndMac states that I can use a single-banked 64 MB SIMM for a max amount of 68 MB...
