Haha, yeah I'm knee deep in early PPC stuff, too bad there wasn't much between them and the II era parts. It'd be a real lifetime collection for an Apple II person, I'm considering just consolidating the II stuff and auctioning it off whole, given the extra little slectable ROM sockets and...

I used Compaq branded 256MB sticks (Hynix?), with chips on one side making it single channel.

I have about 10 different VGA to Apple video adapters if you want to try a few...

Mine works fine with 8x1MB RAM SIMMs, but if I put any higher capacity in, it gives the same image that mcdermd posted. I know the RAM is good because its 4MB stick out of a pile of LCIIs which all functioned.

I have a 7100/66 board that would slot right in and give you *some* PPC power!

I'd be interested in some of the RAM in trade for some cool nubus cards. I have a thread in Trading Post, and a few holdouts that you might be interested in. I have like 2 non Apple external CDROM drives.

I have 768MB in a Rev B Beige and 768 in a Rev B Bondi tower with no problems.

The DIN5 port is probably for MIDI interfacing.
