So I recently refurbished my backlit portable, cleaned up and recapped the logic board, and replaced the original battery with a 6v 4.5ah lead acid battery... was working great no issues... shut it down, plugged it in to charge overnight and now it won't turn on... checked battery voltage is ok...

So I finally got a PDQ 300Mhz Powerbook and put one of those Zheio chinese SSDs in it... the mac was able to detect it and install OS9 without issue, but I could not boot from it, only got a :?: I remembered that these SSDs need to be jumpered for master BUT the ATA board that the powerbook...

I have an LC III that came with a 40MB hard drive, only other SCSI drive I have laying around is a 6GB Seagate drive... I put it in the LC, created a 500MB partition, formatted it HFS Standard and installed 7.6.1 off a CD sucessfully... after a reboot I get a disk with a ?, booting off a floppy...
