I got some 2x256mb pc100 sdram chips recently, and they dont work with the iMac.
They appear to be double-sided (chips on both sides). Is there an issue with double-sided sdram memory in a slot-loading iMac?
Or..I'll have to try Single sided SDRAM (currently in).
Got items from a friend recently, she had them for a while...
A slot load indigo iMac G3/400 DV with 128mb ram, 10gb drive, CD drive and Mac OS 9.1 on it. Will get some more ram so I can put OSX on it!

Two iomega...
Mac OS X 10.1 - 10.1 is an upgrade CD and also has 10.0 install CDs. Should run nicely on the iMac (running 9.2.2 currently) - upgraded it to 192mb ram recently! - will make it a nice file server for the 68k and older PPC macs that i sometimes use [:)] ]'>
Another CD for iMovie 2 - I...
Have one of my tray-load iMacs going now and have put a 40GB drive in to replace its' old 4GB. Drive has not been partitioned.
Can't exactly boot into Mac OS :-/ - just hangs at Open Firmware.

From the picture it looks like they are slot loaders, and a little bit of work to get them working. Nice to have a 9.2.2 capable machine! [;)] ]'>

...and it is the 2.0GHz version. Picked up today, and have found it hard to get way from it! [:D] ]'> . For the entry level mac it certainly speeds along - first mac in many years!.
Scored myself a SE/30 for $5 + a 160mb scsi harddisk. [:D] ]'>
SE/30 has a 40mb harddisk + 5mb of ram. Had to reformat the drive since the partition table was messed up :'( - otherwise its a great little machine.
Now to find myself a Torx-T15 screwdriver. Any decent places in NZ for that?
Got lucky with this one i think :)
Got two CDs from a friend - recently he got a whole bunch of CDs and there were two Apple CDs there - was nice to get em [:D] ]'>

A restore CD for Power Macintosh 7200, 7500, 7600, 8500 and 9500 Series!
Repartitioned the 8500s hard disk to put it on, System 7.5.3 and its damn snappy.
Received a 250MHz 604e processor a while back and have had no luck trying to get it to work with the 8500. :(
Or am i stuck with going for a faster 604 processor (currently 132 mhz) only or a G3 upgrade card?
Thanks
