    2 GB hard drive in SE crashes a lot

    My Mac SE is pretty flakey (crashing randomly with different errors each time), sometimes as often as every 10 minutes.  It came with a dead 20 MB hard drive but I managed to find a 2 GB drive in (smallest I could find) and got that up and running.     Classic II occasional checkerboard, bad sound

    I have a Classic II with a couple of issues.  Before washing and recapping it, it would boot maybe 20% of the time, and otherwise would give a checkerboard pattern.  If it did boot, it'd run fine except for sound, which was intermittent, and terribly distorted.   Based on what I'd read on this...
