So, I wanted to start playing back through some old Spiderweb games, namely the first of the Avernum games (I mostly played the Exile games back in the day but Avernum's isometric look is nicer). I have Sheepshaver set up with 8.6 on my Mini but I've ran into an odd issue, if anyone wants to...
Just curious as I was working away today. I got to thinking after seeing the se/030 Ram expansion board (with 256MB onboard), how hard would it be to do that for a PCI Powermac (especially the RAM limited models: 6500, etc). Somehow interface a memory controller and maybe a gigabyte of fixed...
Does anyone know if anyone has ever looked into the odd memory limitations on Tanzania boards (clones like my Powerbase). No 128MB DIMMs and the weird 32MB and two 64MB DIMMs max. Research ever been done into overcoming it or finding some way to enable the use of 128MB DIMMs?

I finally managed to snag a 604e zif from one of those IBM servers. The chips were usually just included with their motherboards (which I didn't need or want), but one finally came out as a lone chip. It fits in well, dropped straight it. Although, as the picture shows one corned is slightly...
