    7.0 or 7.1 800k Boot Floppy with AppleShare ?

yeah there are definitely 800K image files for 7.1 and 7.0 installs. I have them. I thought I remembered something called the "network disk" but no sign of that. Maybe that was a 1.44.

    7.0 or 7.1 800k Boot Floppy with AppleShare ?

Yes, I should probably just get a multi device SCSI cable to transfer these files (and I will if I have to) BUT...... I'm networking my SE(800k) currently running 6.0.8 to My SE/30 running 7.1...(appleshare via printer port). That's fine. Except all the disk errors I'm getting when...

SE analog board - L2 width control

I did manage to fix it ..luckily kept a spare analog board around. So I switched out the whole L2 inductor. Curious how difficult it would be to make one of these?

SE analog board - L2 width control

it's had a full recap by the way. I replaced C15 no difference... R19 looks like it might have something to do with it?

SE analog board - L2 width control

I have several of these boards that work fine so I know how to adjust this control. One of the width controls (L2) has no effect no matter what. Checked and reflowed all the solder joints. is this perhaps connected to a resistor that might be shot? thanks for any help.

kind of had it with CRT's...

One question. If all I want is 256 colors at 640 x 480, is it worth it to upgrade the Toby? Will there be significantly better performance at that setting?

kind of had it with CRT's...

interesting. Yeah that's what I figured. Thanks for the info!

kind of had it with CRT's...

Well it's not perfect but I recapped it (29 caps), reflowed the larger solder joints, put deoxit on all the connectors/sockets and cleaned it up. That's about all you can do as far as I know, besides rejuvinating it but I'm not going that far.

kind of had it with CRT's...

well I fixed my M1212 to the point where it's reasonably focused, the convergence and geometry are pretty good.... hence, kind of done with CRT's but not completely done.

kind of had it with CRT's...

I agree in a perfect world, I'd prefer a nice low hour Trinitron. Thanks, I'll check out the bmow shop.

kind of had it with CRT's...

The Trinitron tube on my M1212 is worn out and won't focus well. Plus even though I wear gloves and understand the precautions, I feel at risk anytime I'm working on this thing. This is not a cause I'm willing to die for. Has anyone transplanted a nice LCD into an apple monitor or is that a...

    Question about IIcx RAM Installation

I have a IIcx with 4 x 1mb SIMMs in Bank A Can I add 4 x 4mb SIMMS in Bank B for a total of 20mb (Mode32 installed) ? I read somewhere about the larger memory needing to be in Bank A but maybe that was just the original Mac II ? Thanks.
