    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

Wasn't Netscape 2 a browser only, not a "communicator" package? And did you me IE4.5? If so, I know that browser has no email component. Soooooo I'm not sure what you're talking about.

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

I don't need the Mac, but if you can find the application and send it to me, that would be awesome! Aside from that, what is "El-4.5"? I do know what netscape 2 is and I'll see if it can do anything.

    Problems Installing 7.5.3 on a 7300

I was able to install 7.5.3 then 7.5.5 update with a copy of the original system CD from macintoshgarden. My plan which has worked, is to run a copy of every version: 7.5.5, 7.6.1, 8.1, 8.6, 9.1. I do plan on running ideally 10.0 and 10.4 too but I don't have enough RAM for it yet. Technically I...

Hmmm, oh well, good thing I didn't bid. It's actually a 300 mhz what looks like x600 cpu on ebay but guess ill be letting it pass.

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

That was my original plan but it doesn't look like this program can simply connect to a mail server the way a modern mail program can.

    Email Clients for 8.1/PPC?

I've been toying with the idea of setting up my email on my old machine. I consider the 8.1 volume to be this Mac's main and primary OS. I'm wondering if there are any email clients that might be able to connect to a modern mail server? I tried eudora 5.1 but when I tried to set up my account...

I have found the 'games' folder...

Find the game called Alice. It's an alice in wonderland game that is more like GTA than a kid's game :D

    CPU Swaps?

I think I know the answer to this, but it's been a long time so I figured I'd ask in case I'm wrong.  Totally ignoring aftermarket CPU upgrades, and only referring to original CPU cards... Are the processors in CPU Macs all interchangeable? Will the automatically work at their correct speed? I...

    PCI-IDE Optical Drive Problems

My optical drive IS an Apple IDE drive. All of these OSes are fresh, clean full installs. Neither of the systems that can't see the drive, have the CD ROM extension disabled. It's very odd. I'll see what 7.6.0 thinks of things...

    PCI-IDE Optical Drive Problems

Ok I've figured something out, and I don't understand it. But after many boots off different volumes on this Mac, it turns out that: The CD Drive works normally under System 7.5.5, Mac OS 8.6 and Mac OS 9 The CD Drive will not mount it's inserted disc under Mac OS 7.6.1 and Mac OS 8.1 What do...

    Volume Duplicator for Classic?

When I said Classic, I meant classic versions of the OS, not the model of Mac named "Classic". As far as versions, I have a drive with many partitions and I'm running nearly every version of Mac OS/System.  That said, how do you get Disk Copy to duplicate hard drives? I haven't been able to get...

    Volume Duplicator for Classic?

I need to move a whole bunch of volumes from one drive to another. I know drag and drop generally works with classic, although the desktop folder is invisible. And the other problem i've been running in to, theres no way to know which desktop folder, on which drive, a particular file on your...

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

I think it's running 7.something but I'm not sure. I'm working on getting the computer. Along the lines of what you're saying, if that would work, I could move the data into emails in eudora in theory. Then upload those emails to a mail server and download them on OS X into .mbox data. ccMail...

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

I downloaded the MailConverter program above and ran it on my ccMail raw data files. As expected, I did not get any usable results. But what I did get was at least slightly promising. I got two eudora mailbox files, which containing the correct number of emails. But the body of each email was...

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

According to that article, you can't run the converter on the program's raw data files, you need to somehow "export" to a text file. I'm not sure what these means, and I also don't currently have the application, only the data files. I'm going to try to get a hold of the customer's laptop with...

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

One of the things I tried was adding that extension, the converter still couldn't read the files. The steps above looks like you need ccmail for windows for it to work.

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

Ok I downloaded that, tried to install it... the installation steps don't make sense. I messed around and got it to install but now it won't run due to missing .dll's. Windows is so terrible, working in system 7 ain't so bad compared to this.  One again, I'll mess around with it later. This one...

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

Yeah just played around some more, doesn't look like this is going to work. Whatever that archiver is looking for, seems to be totally different from what I have. Whether its a mac/pc thing, or a version 2/version 8 thing, I seem to be getting nowhere fast, sadly. Too bad, that would have been a...

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

I'll play around with it more later, maybe give some files some extensions that the app is looking for and see what happens.

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

Ok I got it working under windows 7, I had to install Outlook first before this program will even run, which is strange. But unfortunately, it looks like it only converts data from cc:Mail for windows. It is unable to read my old Mac files :-/ I'll poke around with it more later but it looks...
