I replied to your post on TinkerDifferent, but will post my response here as well:
I would suggest contacting Frank Gründel at PDA-Soft.
He is the most knowledgeable person I known for determining what to do with Newton hardware issues.
There are a few folks on the NewtonTalk mailing list...
Thank you! These are very interesting details.
By the way, one of my contacts sent me a link to this review of the Macintosh Bernoulli Box from the July 29th, 1985 issue of InfoWorld. Not sure if this provides any additional information or not...
I only have the 5.25" Bernoulli cartridges (and drives) in my collection, but I do know a couple of people with 8" cartridges. I’ll check with them to see what capacity disks they have.
Can you share a link (or scan) of the brochure you’re referring to?

It was created specifically for transferring .pkg files between various Newton devices, usually via beaming.
There’s a bit of information about SimpleArchive on the NewtonTalk mailing...

Does your Marco power up when using the AC adapter, but without the lithium backup battery installed?
I can’t seem to get any of my Marco devices to power up anymore.
I’ve loaded MP3 files (and various images) onto my MessagePad 2100 using the binary server module from the Newton Personal Data Sharing web server suite.
Here’s a walk-through of the process:

I’m looking for a printed, physical copy of the MessagePad 2100 User Manual.
I have a couple of printed copies of the MP2000 manual (and the MP2100 Getting Started booklet), but in all my years of using and collecting Newton stuff, I have never seen an MP2100 manual in person.
I’m wondering if...
