I've been incredibly pleased with the noctua fan I put in my color classic, I guess I will just try and get a 60mm noctua and see how it works. Worst case scenario I can leave the back off, the way my TAM sits the rear isn't visible.

Resurrecting an old (but not THAT old) thread, has anyone ever replaced the fan in a TAM? Mine works but is a little noisy, I'm assuming something modern would be quieter. It's an Elina Fan OPF6015L-12MB-2, but in searching for other 12v 60mm fans, none that I've seen have the odd...

I disassembled the drive and cleaned the head (which did not appear dirty), and i got some "brand new" floppies, but I still get the same error trying to format these new floppies. I will need to learn how to calibrate the drive.

I will have to take it apart and check. Is there a procedure to confirm the speed? I did not know this, but fortunately my drive IS the A9M0107

I admit my Apple II knowledge is...rusty. I have a IIe card in a color classic, and hooked up an Apple 5.25 drive. The only 5.25" floppies I have are from a DOS machine. Every time I try to format a disk in Copy II Plus the drive makes noise but i get an error...I don't know if the drive is...

Just another confirmation for no need for a pram battery on the 2400 - I have been running fine without for a couple years now.
