Overclock LC475/P475/Q605 without soldering or spicy-o-clock

Well, it was that simple. With the aforementioned modification to the System file, the Gestalt ID returned by the machine is ‘99’, which corresponds to the LC 580. And the Soft475 extension doesn't accept this, quite logically. However, it is possible to work around the issue via Wish-I-Were by...

Overclock LC475/P475/Q605 without soldering or spicy-o-clock

For some unknown reason, the Soft475 extension doesn't work on my CC Mystic. It is crossed out in red during start-up, as if it didn't recognize the machine. The control strip doesn't work either. My Mystic doesn't have the VGA mod and boots with patched systems (gestalt 99 edited from 21 to 10...

    IIFX ram gerber

Sorry for the topic hijack, but given that there have been recent attempts to design 30-pin* SIMMs using voltage converters to accommodate EDO DIMM chips, could this approach be transposed to a new design for 64-pin SIMM? *https://github.com/rigred/SIMMBA-16

Yet another NuBus card to identify - IDEAssociates Inc

Funny story indeed. Incidentally, the IIcx in which I found this card was also collected 20 years ago.

    VetteHack

Very happy to count one of Vette's developers among us ! Vette was the first game I bought (Xmas 1991), a week after my Mac Classic... And my first encounter with a system error too

Longer MicroSD card extension for BlueSCSI

I think I remember reading here or on another forum that some people had removed a resistor on this kind of adapter, which made things much more reliable. The problem is that in this case you'll lose the warranty...

Is there a way to increase the 136MB RAM limit in the Power Mac 6100 and 7100

It was a very popular manga/anime among the French-speaking population of Europe in the early 90s. Not as popular as Dragon Ball or Saint Seiya though.

Yet another NuBus card to identify - IDEAssociates Inc

It would be worthwhile trying a data recovery on the IIcx disk. With a bit of luck, the software might still be there. As for the AS/400, I'll gladly leave that to others :). Microcomputers already take up enough space :ROFLMAO:

Yet another NuBus card to identify - IDEAssociates Inc

Wow, you guys found out very quickly what this card is. Thanks. I can see that the SE PDS variant was mentioned here. Just like you say, Melkhior: pretty useless without software and the minicomputer.

Yet another NuBus card to identify - IDEAssociates Inc

While digging out one of my IIcx this morning, I came across this NuBus board with a male DB15 port. It reads "MAC II 5251 REV A" "P/N 613-14081" and appears to be from a company called "IDEAssociates INC". Sadly, the HDD form this IIcx refuses to spin, so finding a clue from some driver...
