1710av fading away (any hope for saving, or retrofit?)

a CRT rejuvinator could work on the tube, but be careful if you do attempt it

G4 Powermac Graphite and Silver (?) with display for 50 bucks. Fires up anyway.

if you google about fixing the leg, there's tutorials to fix it, I did that back when I owned an MDD with a similar monitor

That's a G4 Quicksilver, you cannot use that for parts in a G3 B&W, the parts are very incompatible

    Definition of battery bombed?

agreed, I've also seen a Macintosh Classic logic board that got that bad, but it was a parts machine for a Classic whose tube I necked, so I just relegated it to ewaste after neutralizing the battery acid

    Macintosh SE/30 Triple Threat

Old Macs like this can't use more than 2GB per disk. There are ways around it, like partitioning, but that gets fiddly quick. Plus, from the looks of it, the hard drive was already replaced with something 2GB or more

    Macintosh 68060 Redux

Hell yeah, if something like this can be done for any 68040 or 68030 Mac, that would be awesome

    Help with my Mac LC

In the long run, yeah. I have an LC III that I shoved a SCSI2SD in because it came with no hard drive. One of these days, I might pull it out and put together a BlueSCSI V2 with a Pico W so I can get WiFi with my LC III, and maybe keep that PDS slot open for if I find that Sonnet Presto...

    Help with my Mac LC

I'd personally recommend shoving a PiSCSI or BlueSCSI V2 in there. You may not get the sound, but you'll get a lot of features, such as emulating a CD-ROM drive or a SCSI ethernet adapter

Anyone with a working Quadra LC 630, Performa 6200-6300?

oh wow, my 637CD, 6214CD, and 6300CD all have their original caps (to my knowledge with the 6214 and 6300)

Macintosh Plus issues with analogue board

however, you can put an X2 where an X would go, and it's a similar story with Y caps

System 7 (and OS 8) natively boots on the Mac mini G4!

hold on, won't 8.1 boot on HFS+, or am I thinking of 8.5-9.2.2?

System 7 (and OS 8) natively boots on the Mac mini G4!

I wonder if this can be made possible on a G4 iMac. I have an 800MHz iMac that I want to try this on
