    Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

    Thanks again Craig. I did order a few 6Mhz Zilogs! I programmed the provided JEDEC GAL's and confirmed they are working, thanks Bolle for reverse engineering them! I cant wait to start, but I just need a few last parts before the main job can be done:-( Y3 16.9344 MHz Y1 32.768kHz I do see...

    Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

    Thank you so much Craig, I think this answered all my questions regarding the Z8530. Both my original boards do have the Z0853004VSG (4mhz) version soldered on. The fact that you have the Z0853006VSG in place tells me that this should not be any problem:-) Thanks again for your support!

    Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

    @here: Can the ZILOG Z8530 (4Mhz) be replaced by a 6Mhz or 8Mhz (or even 16Mhz) ZILOG Z8530? (AM85C30-16JC AM85C30-8JC AM8530H-8JC etc.)

    Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

    Thank you craig1410 for updating your basket, and thanks Bolle for updating the board files! My spare board has been badly damaged by battery acid, so I'm still looking for lots of parts before I can start. That gives me plenty of time to prepare properly. Some ASIC's are really hard to find...

    Color classic - Replaced caps -> clicking analog board

    I my case it is just a unisolated metal plate.. The little hooks at the end of the plate that will stick into the PSU were bend and where touching some soldering point. It is quite thick metal, but due to taking the board in and out i thing it bend in a unlucky way. There are still some toasted...

    Color classic - Replaced caps -> clicking analog board

    Hi all, I replaced all the caps again, just to be sure i did not make any mistake. Still nothing. So the caps can not be the problem (actually, We already knew, because I had remeasured them). During the re-assembly i noticed that the metal bottom place was bend a bit. Because i want to save...

    Color classic - Replaced caps -> clicking analog board

    @techknight -> It is the angle. I see what you mean by 'are not filled all the way', but that is the reflection of the new solder joints. The new solder joints are reflecting much more then the old ones. I will take some new pictures by day-light

    Color classic - Replaced caps -> clicking analog board

    Here are some high res photo's; I desoldered all the caps, and checks it with my ESR meter. They all give the right value. There are some (likely) cooked resistors, but when i check them, the give the right value as well.. http://van-de-lagemaat.com/recap/ It is a light chirp chirp chirp...
