Thanks Killvore!
I double the 'polarity' checked the 486 (and even changed it with a known good CPU), but still no signs of life:(
Will hook some datalines to the scope to see if there is activity when i have a bit more time, but without knowledge on how this thing works it will likely not help...
I know this is a long time ago, but ever found the issue?
I have another DOS card: no chime, no POST.
- 680LC040 CPU is known to be good
- 630 logicboard is known to be good (+ recapped as well)
- PSU is known to be good
- Cant find any damages or trace issues using my microscope
Both 68K and...
I do measure around 1mH on both lines on the Plus filter (LF2) and around 15mH on both lines on LF1 with my LCR meter.
Let us know if you can find new filters which will fit on the board! :)
I think it’s perfectly fine to deviate slightly in values if you find new suitable components. The...
Hi Ironborn!
Thats a toasty Plus! 😲
Yes, The BOM on my reloaded correspond to the original Apple board (rev 820-0107-D). The board is a 100% replication.
If it is a 110V board some parts will differ.
LF1 and LF2 are linefilters. Probably you will be able to find replacement parts. The footprint...
The TDA is on the analog board. You have to start somewhere troubleshooting, and this is a easy to access spot which can be measured live. The TDA is the amplifier between the audiochip on the logicboard and the speaker. If there is no audio signal reaching the TDA suspect the logicboard, and...
I would start by measuring with a scope on pin 2 of the TDA7052 for audiowaves, and check VCC to the TDA on pin 1. Double check continuity for ground pin 8.
Dear friends,
I've been working on recreating the Macintosh Classic EARLY revision analog board for quite a while now. This board has been used across both the Classic I and Classic II models.
This board can be reconfigured to both 110V as 240V, although i have not test 110V setup yet.
After...
Well, I don't own a 5200, so I can't give you a 100% accurate answer, but:
I think you can assume that the edge connector pinout is the same across the entire line (models 630/640/5200/5300/6200/6300/5400/6400/5500/6500). This means that the necessary lines are present. However: In the...
