    IIci logic board issue

All of the traces are surprisingly good. Looking at the schematic, I'm beginning to wonder if the chip at UB13 may be bad and maybe shorting out the 5V to ground? I'm probably at the point where I need to start swapping out components...

    IIci logic board issue

No battery damage. I thought about the ROM too, so I tried a Mac ROM-inator II in the rom slot and removed the jumper but got the same gray screen...

    IIci logic board issue

I get no chime when I turn it on. And thanks for the help! What do you think about the 5V and ground rails having continuity?

    IIci logic board issue

Hey guys, I recently acquired a IIci that just gives me a gray screen upon boot. I've got 12V and 5V at the HD power connector, so I'm assuming the PS is good. The board has some corrosion in the expected places near the surface caps, and C10, C13, and the IC at UD13 basically fell off with a...

DigiDesign AUDIOMEDIA 1 - Anyone know where I can find a manual?

Wow, that's thicker than I thought - thanks!

DigiDesign AUDIOMEDIA 1 - Anyone know where I can find a manual?

Just got one of these cards in a IIci project. Did you ever have any luck finding the manual?

    Best bridge machine?

As I recall, you need LaserWriter 8.0 and use the generic driver. The printer is not actually on the SCSI bus - CUPS is a "print server" on your network.

    Classic II + ethernet

Agreed that a SCSI to Ethernet adapter or a RaSCSI are the way to go. With the RaSCSI, you'll also get other emulated SCSI devices (HD's, CDROM drives, etc) and the ability to print to modern printers.

    Rethinking my bridge/server setup

Nice! They're good for hosting BBS's too. :)

Anyone have a copy of Pacerterm?

Yes, Black Night and MacSSH can emulate VT100 and VT220 if that helps you at all. And they also emulate ANSI for BBS'ing!

Techworks IIsi network / FPU card help

I don't see any mention of a cache connector in the manual. Is there a way to tell if the upper connector is PDS vs cache?

    Best bridge machine?

I use Brother DCP-L2550DW laser printer and it works great. The old method to install it is here, but I believe it's an Easy Install option now with the latest version of RaSCSI. Another option is to print via LPD (TCP/IP) which is described here.

    Best bridge machine?

It must be CUPS (Apple AirPrint) compatible to work.

    Best bridge machine?

Yeah, you should! It was pretty slick when my modern Cannon MG6200 inkjet printer showed up in Chooser under the Laserwriter driver and then proceeded to print in color.

    Best bridge machine?

Quite honestly, a Raspberry Pi is probably your best bridge machine. As others have mentioned, running a netatalk server via A2SERVER or a RaSCSI will let you share files easily between modern and vintage Macs. I even send files to my Apple IIgs with Uthernet II card that way! If you go with...

    Apple IIGS Stealth Upgrade

I'm using the GGLabs card too. The first SCSI read is the highest ID number, so make sure the drive you want to boot from has a higher number. Also, I'm not sure that booting from HFS works...

    Apple IIGS Stealth Upgrade

GSOS can boot from a SCSI HD - I've successfully booted from a MacSD, SCSI2SD, ZuluSCSI, RaSCSI, and even a real SCSI drive. I'm sure that you can boot from a BlueSCSI too with the SCSIHD driver installed.

    Apple IIGS Stealth Upgrade

Nice find! Do you still have a land line to try out the modem? And what card is that in slot 7?

New IIsi project - any tips?

Yes, it should chime and the HD and disk drive should spin up, unless you have a break in the 12V rail like I did. You might check out my recent IIsi restoration here: https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/another-macintosh-iisi-restoration.42293/

    SciTex Taxi PCI Card

I got a Quicksilver a few years back that had a couple of TAXI PCI cards in it and I could never find much info on them, other than that they were used to interface with early digital cameras. I had the cards up on eBay for quite a while and someone finally bought one of them. I asked him what...
