The motherboard, like all of its ilk needs to be recapped. The "if it ain't broke" advice doesn't apply since you can't tell until it is too late that caps are bad and have damaged something. I've recapped both of my boards (and my video card) and they are solid. I have a couple of the PSU's...

What was your arrangement for this? The normal lithium battery (14250) is 3.6 volts. I will test out mine with a lower voltage and see if there is a point where I can recreate the issue. Alternatively if it is a broken trace, here are the 475 schematics from the MacDat site (nice place btw)...

Ditto on the battery with this model. And I have much better luck since I started using a white vinegar soak to eliminate the cap juice (followed by DI water and 99% alcohol) for what its worth.

If you are looking for apache on AIX, I would start here. I have no idea if the open source AIX dl's would work or not on an ANS, but its a good place to start your research. Good luck.
